Scouting is a global Movement of self-education for young people. Scouting offers a wider range of skills, activities and services that simply cannot be found in any other single youth organisation. The Scout programme is centred around outdoors and adventure, global, citizenship, leadership, fitness, creativity, beliefs, and all-rounded character development.
It is open to any young person or adult, of any race or religion, mental or physical capabilities and of any gender.

If you have a zest for learning, adventure and life, you’ll fit right into our Youth sections. Wear an attractive uniform, work towards progress awards and proficiency badges. Join an extended family of close to 30 million boys and girls around the world.

Scouting may be a youth-oriented Movement, but it’s the adults that make things happen. If you’re aged 21 and above and would like a bit of a challenge (and have some time to spare), look within. There’s nothing in life quite like the calling of a Scout Leader.

Parents discover that their children gain more confidence, responsibility, a broader set of friends, and the chance to pursue things they might not get to do otherwise – all through the Scouts. Find out how you, as a Parent, can help your child get the best out of Scouting and how you can be involved.

Did you volunteer or are volunteered as a Unit Leader or Assistant? Look beyond the school and the textbooks, and prepare to be rewarded knowing that you’re making that extra difference.
