The SSA supports Scouts who require financial support in Scout uniforms and international events. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For more info on the eligibility and how to apply, please email us at hq@scout.org.sg .
Being a worldwide movement, Scouts have opportunities to attend international camps, exchange programmes, youth forums, and community projects. Not only do Scouts get to visit other countries, they also get to forge lifelong friendships with other Scouts!
The SSA has in place a set of comprehensive policies to ensure the safety of the youths under our charge. Risk Assessment Method Systems (RAMs) are used to identify and manage possible risks during Scout activities. All Adult Leaders conducting activities are required to be first aid trained and Safe from Harm trained. For more info, refer to Our Policies .
If your child does not have Scout CCA in his/her school, you may opt to enroll them into a community Scout group here . We will find a suitable Scout group for your child.
All Adult Volunteers are required to complete the Safe from Harm course before volunteering. The SSA encourages Adult Volunteers to attend learning and development courses for their personal growth and for them to provide quality Scouting to our youths.
If your school does not offer Scouting as a CCA, we can help you to find a Scout group. Fill up this form or email us at hq@scout.org.sg so we can assist you to find a Scout group.
Any youth under 27 years old regardless of gender can join Scouts as a youth member.
Scouts can expect to experience new adventures and lifelong friendships! There are plenty of activities ranging from kayaking, camping, and community projects. During their journey, they will have opportunities to exercise leadership and build confidence via team-building activities with their friends.
All Adult Volunteers are required to complete the Safe from Harm course before volunteering. The SSA encourages Adult Volunteers to attend learning and development courses for their personal growth and for them to provide quality Scouting to our youths.
Based on your interests and areas of expertise, Adult Volunteers may serve in the following areas: Leading a Scout unit, supporting Adult Leaders and providing Specialist Skills (e.g. Pioneering, Backwoodman, etc…).
