NORTH AREA CUB LEADER TRAINING COURSE(Intake 02)
This camp is a leadership camp aimed at training exemplary cub scouts so that they can fulfill their appointed sixer or assistant sixer duties ably and confidently once they return to their unit.
This camp serves the objectives below:
a) To foster friendship between cub scouts from different schools
b) With the help of the Scouting Method or Experiential Learning methods, and hence attain a satisfactory level of the following skills –
Outdoor Scouting Skills (For e.g., Camp craft, knotting, etc)
Social-Emotional Skills (for e.g., self-awareness, self-management, and relationship management skills, teamwork skills, personal mastery and small team leadership skills, etc)
Appreciation of Scouting Traditions and Practices through Regimentation and Ceremonies

Course Date: 13-15 April 2017
Venue: Xishan Primary School (8 Yishun St 21 S768611)
Reporting Time: 1700 hrs
(Report between 5 pm & 6.30 pm, Friday)
Reporting attire: PE attire
Dismissal Time: 15 April 2017 @ 1300hrs
Camp Fees: $55.00 per participant (meals included)
Closing Date: 10 April 2017 @ 2359hrs
Course Size: 100 pax (first-come-first-served basis)
Cub Scout Leader’s responsibilities
· 1 Adult Scout Leader per school (MOE ratio 1:20)
· 1 Adult Leader must accompany their Cub Scouts throughout the training.
· Attendance rotation can be implemented with Principal’s approval.
· Adult Leaders will be assigned roles and help with supervision and discipline of Cub Scouts.
Entry requirement for Participation
• All registered Cub / Scout members are eligible to participate.
• All cub scouts who are medically fit for physical activities
All payment should be either made through IFAAS or debited from the unit fund through the Payment Authorization Form or Cash directly paid to Scout HQ.
Any request of replacement of names of participants must be written formally and is subjected to the approval of the organising committee.
No refund will be given if withdrawal notice is received after the closing date.
Any refunds to be given are subjected to the approval of the organizer.
Unit leaders are strongly encouraged to complete and submit the Registration Form by 10 April 2017 to Ms. Vijaya @ email@example.com, and register online through the MSDS system.
