Frequently Asked Questions

  • All Adult Volunteers are required to complete the Safe from Harm course before volunteering. The SSA encourages Adult Volunteers to attend learning and development courses for their personal growth and for them to provide quality Scouting to our youths.

  • Based on your interests and areas of expertise, Adult Volunteers may serve in the following areas: Leading a Scout unit, supporting Adult Leaders and providing Specialist Skills (e.g. Pioneering, Backwoodman, etc…).

  • You can join us by filling in the recruitment form here. We will be in touch with you to find out more.

  • If your school does not offer Scouting as a CCA, we can help you to find a Scout group. Fill up this form or email us at hq@scout.org.sg  so we can assist you to find a Scout group.

  • Any youth under 27 years old regardless of gender can join Scouts as a youth member.

  • Scouts can expect to experience new adventures and lifelong friendships! There are plenty of activities ranging from kayaking, camping, and community projects. During their journey, they will have opportunities to exercise leadership and build confidence via team-building activities with their friends.
