Administrative Assistant (Area Administration)
The Singapore Scout Association is a non-discriminatory youth movement dedicated to the development and enablement of young people in Singapore to become responsible and active citizens through the Mission of Scouting.
We are looking for self-directed, dynamic and outgoing individuals to support the administration and fundraising functions. Your job roles entail the following:
- Performs and manages general administrative work such as filing, following-up on correspondences & answering enquires.
- Co-ordinates, receives and monitors applications on courses, projects and activities at Area level.
- Assists in the coordination and administration (distribution & collection) of fundraising activities.
- Assists organisers in Functions and Events at Area level, and when necessary, National level.
- Prepares documents for Area Council Meetings.
- Disseminates relevant administrative circulars and notices to Commissioners in the Area.
- Manages and updates personal records of volunteer leaders in the Areas using the Association’s Membership Data Management System (MSDS)
- Supports Area at meetings with timely and proper filing of documents and minutes of meeting/circulars of the Areas.
- Check Area office supplies and update office supplies inventories.
- Submits monthly report and any other duties assigned by the Area Commissioners or Executive Director.
Desirable Attributes & Qualifications:
- A keen interest to work with young people and adult leaders.
- Minimum ‘O’ levels / ITE Qualifications.
- 2 years working experience.
- Preferably with Scouting Experience
- Out-going personality with good interpersonal skills.
- Volunteers management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Conscientious with details and facts
- Proficient in MS Office
